The Gift You Will Never Have

Your whole life can change in a minute. This minute you’re the fun loving, out going, friendly man or woman that everyone loves. The next minute you’re the quiet, lonely man or woman full of many REGRETS.

You can look back on your life and begin to REMEMBER some past mistakes or where some things went wrong. You can be tempted to look back at that ONE WRONG decision that led your life up to the point you’re at now.

Can I Guess?

Your first response to that could be REGRET!

Many individuals look back instead of looking forward and they wish they had made a different choice. You sometimes think “IF I ONLY KNEW THEN WHAT I KNEW NOW.” Many people are victims of this arrow.

Well, you didn’t know then some things you know now! You’ve made that mistake and you can’t UNDO what has been done! So stop the REGRET AND SELF PITY/SELF BLAME game. Despite all the mistakes you have made, resist that arrow of “IF I ONLY KNEW THEN WHAT I KNOW NOW.”

REGRET OF THE PAST IS A ROBBER OF THE JOY OF THE FUTURE!!

“If you live long enough, you’ll make mistakes. But if you learn from them, you’ll be a better person. Its how you handle adversity, not how it affects you. The main thing is never quit, never quit, never quit.”. ~William J. Clinton

Many individuals crucify themselves between two thieves-regret for the past and fear of the future!

Steve Maraboli penned:

“We all make mistakes, have struggles and even regret things in our past. But you are not your mistakes, you are not your struggles and you are here NOW with the power to shape your day and your future.”

Dont live your life regretting yesterday. Live your life, so tomorrow you won’t regret today. Don’t regret knowing the people who came into your life. Good people give you happiness. Bad ones give you experience. The worst ones give you lessons and the best people give you memories.

Always Remember: The only gift you will NEVER have is YOUR PAST! Its gone forever! Learn from your past mistakes and move on!!

I always love to read your opinions and comments. So leave some if you have. Thanks for reading.
